Message from the Headteacher Thank you for taking the time to read about Nether Stowe High School and for considering the school as a possible destination for your child's secondary education. Nether Stowe High School has a long tradition of providing high quality learning experience for the young people of Lichfield. We are proud of our record and we are determined to build on the success of our predecessors in order to make Nether Stowe High School the best school that it can possibly be. Our aim is an ambitious target for any school, but it is one that we believe we can deliver. We understand that every child is different, that every child matters and that every child is special. At Nether Stowe High School we are determined that every child will achieve success, in a safe, supportive and caring community.We do challenge and expect our students to work to the best of their ability. In order to achieve this success, we provide students with a large variety of opportunities, which take account of all forms of learning. Our timetable allows for a wide range of academic and vocational courses. When appropriate, students are allowed to take examinations earlier and all students are encouraged to take part in our extensive range of extra-curricular activities. At Nether Stowe we believe that the school is only one element of the education process. Parents and the community at large have a major role to play, if we are truly to help our young people to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to become independent thinkers who can make informed choices that will help them become the people that they want to be.
